Today, we started off in California Adventure for our first park. Starting off, we headed over to the Incredicoaster while I used the lightning lane to book us a slot for Guardians of the Galaxy.

The Incredicoaster did not disappoint and it was such a fun story they incorporated into the existing coaster that was formerly California Screamin’. Using Jack Jack as the main character was lots of fun.

Afterwards, we walked along the boardwalk area looking for some food, but ended up walking until we landed on the Avenger’s Campus section. Last time I was there, it was themed as Bug’s Land. Seeing how they had transformed it was amazing. I will say, my husband is the comic book nerd in this relationship and he was really enjoying himself. We even happened to see Black Panther before he went off stage and got a picture with him. Though the best surprise was found before we got on the Guardian’s ride. We stumbled across a show with Deadpool and Wolverine reenacting a Christmas Carol. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to stay for the whole show, but if you are going this holiday season I can recommend it from the little bits that we saw.

Luckily, I had a chance to ride Guardians of the Galaxy Breakout before my pass expired, but my husband didn’t get the chance last time he was there with family. It was enjoyable seeing his face the whole time on this ride for the first time. He loved it and I think it might even be his new favorite. Rocket is still my favorite out of that whole crew.

Our next stop was the Lamplight Lounge for a late lunch. Long story short, I made a reservation at the wrong part of it and was sad to miss out on trying the lobster nachos that were advertised on the Boardwalk part of the menu. However, the lounge did have some very delicious potato skins on the menu that I can highly recommend.

Another ride my husband missed on his last trip to Disneyland Resort was the Radiator Springs Racers, which we happily were able to get on this time. I had checked the app to see the wait time was only 45 minutes once we had finished our food. However, like it is with most rides there, we ended up seeing the wait time was actually 60 minutes, but decided to jump in line anyway. It was worth it again to see my husband enjoy another ride for the first time.

We had our ride fill for DCA after this and had decided it was close enough to our dinner reservations to start walking our way over there. Yup, we made our lunch and dinner reservations a little too close together. About 3 hours apart. Dinner that night was at the Jazz Kitchen in Downtown Disney and we were lucky enough to get a balcony seat. However, we weren’t that hungry nor did we have too much money left for the day. As a treat, we ordered 3 sides and it ended up being enough for the two of us to share.

Contemplating what we were going to do next, we decided it was time to return to Disneyland proper to walk around and maybe get a few of the rides we didn’t get to the day before. Rather than walk all the way back to the park entrance, we made our way over to the monorail and enjoyed a view of the park above while it was lit up at night.

The night started to wind down after we got to ride Pirates of the Caribbean and  we decided to call it for the day.

Return to see how the final day of our magical adventure went. Till then, safe exploring everyone!
